Arunima Saree
There's a moment just before sunrise when the sky can't decide between red and purple — it holds both, briefly, before choosing. Arunima is woven to hold that same moment permanently. A coral-red body shot through with fine gold checks, deepening into a rich purple pallu and border that catches light differently depending on where you stand.
Woven in Kanchipuram on looms that have kept this craft alive for centuries, Arunima is silk mark certified for authenticity — no shortcuts, no machine-run imitations.
This is not a Chendamangalam piece, and we say that honestly, always. Every saree at Neythkari is named for exactly where it comes from. Arunima is our way of making space for another handloom lineage — different silk, different town, same devotion to doing it by hand.
Wear it for: Diwali, weddings, any evening you plan to light a lamp and stand near it a while.
Every Neythkari piece is made to order in limited numbers. What you see is what exists — nothing more.

Care & Maintenance
Dry clean is recommended for the first 3 washes to set the zari and natural dyes. For subsequent washes, hand wash gently in cold water with a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Do not wring or machine wash. Dry flat in shade , prolonged direct sunlight can dull the zari lustre. Store folded in a clean muslin cloth; avoid plastic bags and mothballs near zari borders.

The Weavers of Chendamangalam
The craft arrived in Chendamangalam when the Paliyath Achans, prime ministers of the Cochin kingdom, brought weavers from Tamil Nadu's Devangar community to settle along the Periyar river. What began as a new livelihood took root across generations until it became inseparable from the identity of Chendamangalam itself.
Neythkari works directly with these weaver families, not middlemen. A fair portion of every sale returns to the craftsperson. When you buy from us, you are participating in a supply chain that keeps one of Kerala's most enduring traditions alive.
